Holidays are arriving... Meaning that the
winter is afoot, prepare for a family get together, choose dinner assortments
wisely as there are many recipes and choices. My motto is the more choices, the happier
everyone will be. And yes, presents and gifts
for our family and friends.
[1] eBook readers- such as
kindle, kobo, Sony reader, e-books, or book store gift cards
It’s not always easy to choose presents,
hence here are the ten different holiday gift ideas (or categories if you will)
– listed in bold.
[2] Toys: Groove Ballapalooza , Laugh &
Learn™ Learning Basketball, Fisher Price music Parade Ride, 1.5 RC
FF Ford F-150, Barbie, Create ‘N’ Play Kitchen, k’nex, crazy forts, FurReal
Friends, furbies
In general, a loaded Timmy’s or
Starbuck’s card is a good stocking stuffer for almost any age. The current ever-changing technology stocking
stuffer is an eBook reader along with your favorite e-books. Visit www.sparrow-publishing.com for a
special holiday eBook present for kids- an epic fairy tale about magic, adventure
and friendship, A Very Berry Fairy
Adventure. Another good idea is a plushy
toy. Plush toys are good for any age;
even teenagers would like an angry bird. And don’t forget our famous trendy gift
of stylish sweaters and assorted candy.
[3] Technology: IPad mini,
tablets, laptops, X-box, PS3, Nintendo and video games too
If you got toddlers, then go ahead,
visit a toy store like Toys’R’Us and get something colorful (red, blue yellow
and green), interactive (something that plays music if you push a button) and
something that can be arranged or stacked together. Don’t forget to make sure that there are no
sharp corners.
[4] Interactive and nice: Ping Pong retractable set, air hokey, BLUEiQ
Customizable Miniature Ecosystem
For kids between the ages 4 to 6, Lego,
building blocks, and a soft ball are great choices. Something that kids can construct is a
must. A sing along CD and even a
colouring book would do. More traditional gifts are a truck, a doll, an action
figure, a doll house, a toy kitchen set - there are many choices. Best advice is to get what will catch your
eye, 60% they will like it too.
[5] Board Games: Taboo,
Scattergoies, Fame of Things, Monopoly, Jenga
Now for teenagers, they go with that favorite music CD,
computer or video games, PS3, laptops, e-readers, new phones, sport
accessories, a favourite new journal, a currently popular book, a bike, a scooter,
a painting kit, a guitar, a karaoke set, a new basketball, just about anything
that jumps at you. Unless... they really
want that cool new item that they constantly hint about when you go shopping
with them.
[6] Tools: Skil IXO vivo Power
Corkscrew, Stanley Fatmax, Mastercraft/Dewalt and Black&Decker tools.
For adults, they already have
everything. So what can you get them? A
gift card would be a modern way to say “I care.” If you have absolutely no clue, then here are
some ideas. In general, for men, one can
buy miniature car collectables, gadgets, gadgets relating to cars and
tools. Women like to feel special about
themselves - a day at a spa, or that fabulous new outfit at The Bay, or a gift
card at the mall would do just great. Let’s not forget that women may like some of the car gadgets and tools
and men may like the idea of a spa visit.
[7] Collection Gifts: Sephora Collection Blockbuster Makeup Palette,
Burt’s Bees gifts, La Mer, Napa Soap
Company - Ceramic Shaving Gift Set
If your are still clueless, then go with
their trend. If they like sports then
get them new fitness and sports accessories or tickets to a sport event. If
dishes and house decorations are the case, then get something that would merge
into the room or something functional.
[8] Functional Items: Keurig B60 Brewe, iRobot
Roomba 770
Got grandparents, get them spa
accessories, personalized gifts, or a nicely framed picture with you and
everyone in it – to show them that you truly care for them. A luxurious tea set would tell them, yes, I
will be visiting you more often. That’s
what grandparents really want - more visits from you.
[9] Fitness: Zumba fitness exhilarate dvd collection, Treadmill
Then again, I would say –know your
people. They must have given you hints
about what they want for their presents months ago.
[10] Decorative or Meditation Fountain
