Woke Up This Morning
I woke up this morning and couldn’t find my purse.
Well, first, I made sure that I was dressed well and looked good in the mirror.
Now, who said white socks are out of fashion? I looked well dressed today.
Next, I searched for my purse – from 5 am and onward; that’s when I looked to the left on the coffee table under the newspaper. Ah ha, I thought. I then slowly looked at my watch, and it was 9:07 am. I was 1 hour late. On the road, there was a bit of traffic, and I was at work by 11:15 am.
The rest of the day was a jumble; I answered backlogged e-mails and phone calls. Then, I processed a multitude of information for our accounting and administrative departments.
I skipped lunch and typed so much today that I thought my pinky would fall off.
Some days you think you rotate around Earth, and some days Earth rotates around you. I gave the speed of the spin to Earth. My theory is that the Earth should rotate at a neutral, homeostasis speed – therefore, I will keep this evening mellow.
