The Whisperer of the Abyss:
Sandy’s Never-Ending Monday Rants - Journal Entry 36
Real-life events have inspired this fiction journal story. Please note that all names were changed, just in case.
Went Running
I went out running both days, Saturday and Sunday. Running is so much fun, especially going out early in the morning. Nothing beats the early bird. No one saw me being outdoors, so all was good.
When one is outside, cops may stop them and give them a fine, jail them or worse. Nonetheless, the cops may have the virus. While being unaware of it, they may pass it on to others.
Still, I'm waiting for the flu to subside. When will it end? When? It is so uncomfortable and inconvenient. It probably would cause a recession or depression in the economy for sure. All the businesses have stopped, and the banks would raise the interest rates. This process would drive people to sell their houses out of desperation due to the high percent on their 30 and 50-year mortgages. Then, they would probably end up on the streets because the rent would rise (due to high-interest rates and property taxes that would skyrocket). No one knows when this will stop. And to think a tiny flue incident did it, and people are so unprepared. Don't we have a pandemic/epidemic every twenty to forty years?
